Home Organization might be harder than I realized. I thought I was fairly organized. Until I I couldn't find my keyboard just now to type. I'm digging and culling through this pile now for about 45 minutes. I finally see the problem. It's me! I am the problem. Not my papers. Not my desire to read every ripped out article and note taken on the back of napkins. I write myself notes and quotes to check with at a later time. Later rarely comes.
I have this written on the back of one of Noah's assignments he brought home: "TO DO LIST THE NIGHT BEFORE AND PUT BY COFFEE MAKER" and a note to read Matthew 6:19. And on another I wrote, " most of the stuff I say is true because I saw it in a dream and I don't have the presence of mind to make up lies when I'm asleep". I cant remember who said that, but I remember reading it at the time and thinking it was damn funny.
I need a new motto: Read and Release. Saving stuff is suffocating!

An Intended Life
I listened with great enthusiasm, pen in hand, to Tiffany Liguori our MOPS guest speaker talking about Home Organization. But it was more than that. She gave practical, bible based instruction how to lead a more peaceful and intentional life. Anything to calm my overactive mind is a godsend. She was great! I also started my yoga practice. And as my friend, and instructor, Elizabeth says, it is a practice. I am learning to discipline my mind and body in a more purpose-driven, thoughtful manner in all areas of my life. But its my mind that usually sabotages my self-improvement. Not this year. Not this time! I am determined to find that place where all those worrries, those nagging pains in the pit of stomach will disolve in my continued efforts to better myself. Because I want to experience life through an array of emotions, not just fear.
